<<THE ARTISTS>>
PHARAOHS (LIVE – 100% Silk, LA)
Cat in the Hat hats off to mad Madchester vibes in Pharaohs debut “Uhh Uhh.” You’ll have Happy Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays bouncing around to Pharaohs’ electric piano keys, synthetic drum pads, funky 80s breakdowns, and pitch-shifted-way-down vocal samples. A lot of freaky dancing went into this jangly baggy World Party: Dublab aesthetics, memories of Buenos Aires bootleg cassettes, wave bending in Waikiki, Suzanne arts and Kraft. Add a bit of bubbly St. Germain acid, a pinch of 60s extended jazz grooves, a dash of KLF big bang UK nonsense, and a touch of 94.7 fm liquid sax/velvet breath and you’ve got the deep pleasure of Pharaohs. Taking the shiny dance floor to the warehouse cement floor to the sandy patio floor for some hot, hot Hacienda nights.

JASON KENDIG (DJ – Honey Soundsystem, SF)
Jason began collecting records in Detroit in the early 1990s and soon became obsessed with the sounds of disco, italo, Chicago house and early Detroit techno. Mixing newer creative sounds with his deep collection of lost classics, Jason has DJed throughout the United States as well as abroad at parties like Horse Meat Disco (London), Club Lux (Lisbon), Tripod (Dublin), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Berghain (Berlin) and Hafen 2 (Frankfurt). He is currently resident for San Francisco’s superb HONEY SOUNDSYSTEM and is releasing music on the MR.INTL label.

ASH WILLIAMS (DJ – Disco Horror, SF)
Local DJ and producer with a penchant for balearic techno and deep house sounds born from analogue circuitry. Having made his live debut earlier thissummer, he continues to balance production with his passion for playing records. Ash most recently played to packed floors at Le Pompon and Le Social Club in Paris and is excited to celebrate his return by picking up where he left off with The Chase, his latest venture in bringing new and exciting dance music to San Francisco.

A resident selector at the Chicago house and early rave celebration that is Haçeteria. Smac pulls contemporary jams that draw on a golden era of house. A known peddler of 100% Silk, L.I.E.S. and Creme Organization, expect a set for the freaks.
